North Halmahera glorious shades with a mountain of gold

North Halmahera regency was formed on May 31, 2003 with a capital Tobelo. In line with the formation of new districts, districts and villages are divided. Nine districts divided into 22 districts and 174 villages to 260 villages. The total area of this district is 24,983.32 km2 area of 19,536.02 km2 (78%) sea area and 5447.30 km2 (22%) land area. North Halmahera has 115 islands in the Maluku Sea and Halmahera Sea. Almost every island has a unique natural beauty. Small islands with white sand beach panorama, beautiful marine park is very beautiful with a variety of fish, the diversity of flora, fauna and cultural and historical sites during World War II can be found in this area. The population of North Halmahera district in 2006 was 221,169 inhabitants in which 75% are farmers and fishermen. North Halmahera is one of the agrarian region with great natural potential of the agricultural sector.
